Iceland

Situated in the north, between Europe and North America, Iceland is a mountainous country with some of the most amazing natural scenery to be found anywhere in the world. A small part of the country is covered in ice, as the name suggests, but most of the island is blessed with stunning greenery brought on by pleasant weather. The Blue Lagoon is a popular tourist spot in Iceland, as it is a geothermal spa. The country provides great hiking trails, and some unbeatable ski lodges which make for a great holiday getaway.

Extreme vacationers head to the lonely inland of Iceland to hike on glaciers, mountains, and big volcanoes. Summer is when the sun is up the most, because in the winter there are almost 20 hours of darkness, something vacationers love because of the exquisite northern lights and aurora borealis light displays. Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, is interesting to walk around and has a lively nightlife. Visiting the Blue Lagoon, a giant outdoor thermal pool, is also fun! With 22 hours of sunlight in the summer, you can get in a lot of swimming!
