Camogli

Camogli is a small fishing village near Portofino with pastel coloured walls decorated with sea shells. This is a place to walk the winding narrow streets and smell fish frying in one of many local restaurants. The medieval Castello della Dranonara is located near the beach and fishing port and is a feature of this beautiful place popular with visitors and film scenes. The Blessing of the Fish is celebrated in Camogli on the second Sunday in May when sardines are fried in a giant pan and distributed to everyone.
