Genoa

Genoa is a prominent commercial sea port in Italy and has a magnificent old town. The port is the heart of Genoa and where the city’s wealth originated. The medieval lanterna is a feature and in the city itself the Duomo dating from the thirteenth century a prominent building in town. Close to the site of Christopher Columbus’ house who lived in Genoa, the Porta Soprana is a magnificent gateway to the city. This is a beautiful old town which combines its seafaring passions with spectacular art and architecture and a working commercial centre.
