Gubbio

Gubbio is one of the best medieval towns in Umbria with some stunning architecture and twisting streets with medieval facades to the houses. It was founded in the 3^rd century and is full of history. The Palazzo del Bargello is a beautiful structure and a real feature of the town as is the Duomo dating from the 13^th century. Gubbio’s Palazzo Ducale is another important building in town and the Church of San Francesco is renowned for its frescoes by Nelli. Gubbio is a real delight to explore and to sit in a small café to watch the world go by in this timeless and charming spot.
