Pesaro

One of the main Adriatic seaside resorts Pesaro is a stylish town. With its white stucco hotels and promenade it is a place to be seen and yet the medieval back streets have a real characteristic charm. The Saint Agostino church is the best in town and the archaeological museum has many locally excavated artefacts. Many people visit Pesaro as a pilgrimage to the composer Gioacchino Rossini. A museum dedicated to his life is at Casa Rossini and his music is often played at concerts in town and during the annual music festival each August.
