Pisa

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of Italy’s iconic sights and dominates this town in Tuscany. The tower started to lean even before the third storey was completed in 1274 and still lies at an angle having been constructed on sandy soil. The magnificent Duomo and Baptistry are other architectural features of Pisa that attract many visitors each year. The Piazza dei Cavalieri is a beautiful square featuring the Palazzo, which is home to one of the colleges at Pisa University and a magnificent part of the city.
