Trento

The Trentino Region’s prettiest town, Trento is renowned for its beautiful architecture. The Romanesque cathedral and an elaborately decorated castle are just two of the places of interest in this town. Trento’s Piazza Duomo is remarkable with a beautiful eighteenth century fountain and the nearby museum has a number of paintings and decorative arts. Just west of Trento there are scenic drives up the northern flank of Monte Bondone and back to Vezzano with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. This is a great base to explore more of the mountain areas in the Trentino and to appreciate the architecture in the region.
