Turin

Most people associate Turin with industry and the car industry, particularly Fiat production. It is also home to the Juventus Football Team and to the famous Turin Shroud. Turin has some superb Baroque architecture and is set against the stunning scenery of the Alps. The Palazzo Madama is the main square in Turin and the Duomo dominates the skyline. Museums celebrate archaeology as well as Italian art and it is a beautiful shopping area. With excellent cuisine in the restaurants Turin is an interesting city to visit and to use as a base to explore the surrounding countryside.
