Bonaire

One of the most strikingly beautiful islands in the Caribbean Sea with turquoise waters, stunning beaches and an otherworldly landscape, Bonaire is one adventure you will never forget. Whether you prefer diving, trekking or just relaxing on a beach Bonaire is perfectly suited to your needs. One of the first sights that greet you on the island are the small patches of tropical forest that mix with large sandy hills and the monstrous pyramids of salt which line the coast. This lends an air of the unknown to the island and is one which keeps bringing people back year after year.

Bonaire is also famed for its amazing diving and snorkelling where whale sharks, turtles and numerous other fascinating marine creatures come close to the shore. There are numerous wrecks and coral dive sites further afield. It is easy to find somewhere to stay as the tourist industry has taken off recently so hotels abound but for a more idyllic stay it is best to head to the Lac Bay Lagoon where you can find beach huts, villas and apartments located right on the waterfront. You will also find no shortage of restaurants and bars where you can sample local specialities such as Conch and Rock Lobster.
