Pioana Brasov

Pioana Brasov, situated 12 kilometers from the medieval town ofBrasov, offers outstanding value for winter ski and snowboard vacations. With modern infrastructure and close proximity to Europe and theUnited Kingdom, this resort offers an inexpensive alternative to those in nearby countries.

They welcome skiers and snowboarders. There are many blue and green runs that will suit those beginning out in the sport but the terrain is limited for those who like challenging black runs or off-piste skiing. However, for beginners and intermediates this just could be nirvana with wide open gentle nursery slopes. Skiing is on picturesque slopes and some of the runs are tree lined.

At night time the lower slopes are floodlit for skiing and snowboarding under the stars.

There is an excellent ski school with experienced instructors who speak English and German.

Apres ski at Pioana Brasov is fun, varied, and excellent value. There is a large choice of inexpensive bars, discos and restaurants to suit all price ranges.

Accommodation is nearby and includes something to suit all budgets from hotels, villas and pensions.

The season is from December to March. The longest run is 1.4 miles or 2.3 kilometers.
