San Marino

Only covering 61 sq. km, San Marino may be small but it is still mighty. This republic values peace and freedom, welcoming all for an enchanting visit. Although San Marino is located in central Italy, it has been its own republic since 301 A.D. Climate varies from warm summers to cool winters. The museums are filled with artifacts, paintings, stamps, and coins. Three defensive towers hover over the city and were built in the 11th century. These towers welcome visitors and you can overlook the city. The main cuisine is Italian and the pasta here will warm your heart. San Marino, the most ancient European republic, is definitely worth the visit.
