Leon

Leon is a lively and vibrant university town in Castile and has some old and also very modern areas. There are three focal plazas, one near the river is the Glorieta de Guzman el Bueno and streets lead off each one with a very modern appearance. The towers of the cathedral face onto Plaza de Santo Domingo and the Casa de Botines by Gaudi. The pantheon dates from the early kings of Leon and is remarkably well preserved. Leon has a good selection of bars and restaurants for visitors to try local cuisine.
