Llanes

For visitors travelling between Santander and Oviedo the small seaside town of Llanes makes a picturesque stop on the journey. Llanes is very pretty and has a small harbour at the mouth of the river and a lovely Rambla on the sea wall which is perfect at dusk. With its tiny squares and ancient towers the town has some real character and is an excellent place to try fresh seafood and other regional specialties. Llanes is blessed with a good beach for sunbathing and swimming off the coast and a delightful place for a restful holiday.
