Lorca

Most of the villages in the inland areas of Murcia are reached by car but Lorca is one that is accessible on public transport. It is steeped in history and passed between Muslim and Christian hands several times over the past centuries. One of the more interesting sights is the Artisanal centre which displays beautiful local crafts. For baroque architecture the Casa de los Guevara is one of the best in Lorca. With some interesting shops and the remains of historic arches and columns all over town Lorca is a fascinating city to explore.
