Mahon

Mao or Mahon is the island capital of Menorca in the Baleaerics. It is a city best seen on foot and the Georgian style houses, the streets rising above the water and rows of delightful cafes make it a pleasant place to explore. The Placa d’Espanya has fantastic views across the bay. One fascinating place to visit is the colourful fruit and vegetable market where local cheeses can also be sampled. There are boat trips around the harbour, and restaurants offering fresh seafood. The beaches of course are a major attraction.
