Morella

Morella is considered to be the most attractive town in Castellon Province. Just along the coast from Zaragoza it stands on a small hill and is crowned by an imposing looking fortress. There is a beautifully preserved wall around the lower part of the town giving it a really impressive appearance. Apart from the castle the church of Santa Monica la Mayor is of fourteenth century Gothic design with intricately carved doors. After climbing to see the tremendous views from the fortress a local café is a great place to stop in town and watch the world go by.
