Oviedo

Most people visit Oviedo to see three churches in town. These are amongst the most beautiful in Spain and among the most unique in style. They all date from the ninth century, however today Oviedo is a more modern city with a progressive university and some heavy industry. The Cathedral is a major feature of Oviedo and its architecture stunning. The surrounding streets are the bets places to find a good restaurant and bar to taste the local cuisine. Oviedo has some beautiful areas surrounding the town which are ideal for walking and seeing more of this region.
