Ronda

Ronda arises from the mountains as visitors approach and this beautiful Spanish town is dramatically split in half by a steep ravine. Crossing it by bridge the views are magnificent and the town itself is a real joy to explore with beautiful old streets. There are historic Arab baths, churches and magnificent palaces here as Ronda is full of surprises. The town is an excellent base for walking in the surrounding hillside and even a bit of rock climbing. With some good local restaurants this is an excellent destination for a sporting and active holiday in the mountains.
