Santiago de Compostela
Santiago de Compostela is one of the most beautiful of Spanish cities and is the destination for those who partake in the famous pilgrimage. The Camino de Santiago is a long distance walk across Spain recently adapted into a film called The Way. All roads to Santiago de Compostela lead to the cathedral which is magnificent and a focal point in the city. There are statues of St James and the famous façade, the Obradoiro Façade built by a local architect. There are lots of historic buildings and delightful streets all over Santiago and the atmosphere is magical, particularly for those just completing the Camino.
