Lord Byron identified Seville as, “A city famous for women and oranges.” It is also the most important centre for bullfighting after Madrid in Spain. This is the place to see the architecture from the Moorish conquest of Spain with striking Islamic art and to explore the beautiful cathedral and Alcazar fortress. Seville is the city to see the flamenco dance and perhaps try a few steps. Somewhere in the city will be marking a religious festival or a fiesta and the restaurants are great places to try regional specialties. Seville is a truly memorable city.
