Sitges

Sitges is a holiday town just 40 km from Barcelona. It is a renowned party town and is also a notable gay holiday destination. The town is a former fishing village that has grown up around the holiday trade and is also a favourite haunt of artists. The beach is the major attraction in Sitges and the seafront promenade, the Passeig Maritim, is a great place to people watch and parade the latest fashion. Sitges has some interesting museums and some good restaurants. The nightlife is particularly vibrant with a number of clubs and bars in town.
