Tarazona

Tarazona is part of the Aragonese plains that are dotted with reminders of the Moorish occupation here. It is a beautiful town and in particular the Barrios Altos or upper old quarter. Standing on a hilly site overlooking the river the medieval houses and mansions that line the alleyways are a delight to explore. The Plaza de Espana is flanked by a sixteenth century Ayunamiento or town hall which is stunning. With beautiful views from the Church of Santa Magdalena this is a beautiful town to relax in and appreciate the beauty of the area.
