Zaragoza

Zaragoza in the province of Aragon is a stylish town with interesting boutiques and bars. There is a spectacular Moorish Aljaferia and the basilica in Zaragoza is dedicated to one of Spain’s most famous icons, the Nuestra Senora del Pilar. There are many fiestas here throughout the year in celebration of the Nuestra Senora. Zaragoza has interesting museums and an historic square at La Seo with gothic design. The town is an excellent base for exploring the neighbouring countryside where the ruta del vino through Carinera is a prime destination for wine aficionados and the historic murals at Cinco Villas are popular with visitors to this area of Spain.
