Iran

Previously known as Persia, Iran is a large country in the Middle East, which is blessed with great history and culture that goes back thousands of years. As a result, visitors can bask in the amazing history of the country, and enjoy such wonders as Persepolis, the incredible ruins of a vast city built over 2500 years ago, and Pasargad, the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire, and home to the Tomb of Cyrus. A number of ancient cities, tombs and museums allow tourists to uncover an interesting past. Desert excursions are popular, while there are also a number of festivals in Iran throughout the year.
