Baghdad

A destination for those who want to see the history concerning the Tigris River or who want to venture to the historical site of Babylon, Baghdad is located in the middle of Iraq. The Tigris River starts in Turkey, to the north of Iraq, and flows through Iraq and into the Persian Gulf. In Baghdad, monuments and other important buildings are located along the banks of the river. There are also parks next to the Tigris River with new tourist attractions planned for the area. Babylon was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
