Banff

Many tour groups stop at Banff to visit the Banff National Park. The oldest national park in the country, Banff National Park displays the splendour of the Rocky Mountains. The lakes, trees, wildlife and rivers of the Banff National Park are popular with tourists but many go to specifically see the glaciers. Go to the northern area of Banff National Park to see the Wapta Icefield and Columbia Icefield. Take a ride on a snow coach, a giant bus with monster truck-type wheels that drives around the glaciers. The Banff Springs Hotel is a historic building and a popular spot for visitors to stay and relax.
