Grande Prairie

The Swan City, Grande Prairie is located on the Wapiti River and Bear River and offers tourists many magnificent parks to visit as well as interesting events to attend during the year. Muskoseepi Park provides hours of enjoyment with hiking, cycling and fishing. The Whispering Pines Rodeo, Peace Country Classic Agri-Show at Evergreen Park and Bud Country Fever concerts are events to attend. Those travelling by road to Alaska will often start their journey at Grande Prairie. A landmark to photograph in Grande Prairie is their giant sundial. The Grande Prairie Museum contains exhibits about the history of the region as well as archaeological finds.
