Jasper

Jasper is where many tourists go to see the Jasper National Park, Athabasca Glacier, Miette Hotsprings, Rocky Mountains and unique ecosystems. Jasper National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is 1,200 kilometres of hiking trails in the park. Animals that can be found in Jasper National Park include bears, beavers, moose, wolves, deer and caribou. Alberta’s highest mountain, Mount Columbia, is in Jasper National Park. Visitors to the municipality of Jasper and Jasper National Park of Canada often travel there via road or rail and the area is visited by many tour buses.
