Nanaimo

Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, is a part of many holidays as those travelling by ferry from Vancouver will land at Nanaimo. The distance between Vancouver and Nanaimo is just under forty nautical miles and the trip takes approximately two hours. Nanaimo is a popular spot for adventure tours and there is sea kayaking along the coast, scuba diving, whale watching and also the chance to fish for salmon and halibut. For a wide range of shops, Nanaimo is the place to go on Vancouver Island. There are many unique specialty stores, the Errington Farmers Market and several shopping malls.
