Host to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Vancouver is spiffed up and spectacular with great outdoor activities as well as all the sophistication of a major city. You can ski at Cypress Mountain, bike or walk in Stanley Park in Vancouver, or hike or take an aerial tram to the top of Grouse Mountain. There are little ferries that will whisk you over to Granville Island so that you can visit the indoor farmer market, micro-brewery, and interesting shops and restaurants. For high end shopping, or window shopping, you will want to make your way to Robson Street in downtown Vancouver. And for old-world charm, take a walk through Gastown.

Vancouver’s Punjabi market is a celebration of Canada’s multicultural tapestry and the early trades of British colonials with East India across the Pacific.
