The Pembina Thresherman’s Museum in Winkler has been attracting tourists to the area for many years. It is the site of numerous heritage buildings, some more than a century old. But it is more than a museum with static exhibits as the historic tractors, steam engines and other vintage farm equipment are still in working order. Attend during the museum’s Life in the Past Lane and see lumber sawing, rope making, flour milling and other farming methods of the past. Winkler hosts a Harvest Festival and Exhibition during the summer. Winkler is close to the border of North Dakota, and Minnesota is not far away too.
