Miramichi

Miramichi is famous around the world for the Miramichi Folk Song Festival. The event happens during summer every year, having first taken place in 1958. There is more than one festival in Miramichi and different music tastes are satisfied with the Miramichi Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival, Miramichi Scottish Festival and the Miramichi Irish Festival. The waters of the Miramichi River and Miramichi Bay are important to the Atlantic Salmon, and visitors to Miramichi can take a boat tour of the area or spend a day at the Atlantic Salmon Museum to learn about the history of the waters it lives in.
