Peggy’s Cove, its lighthouse, small fleet of fishing boats, historic church and amazing views are at the top of the list of places to see for many people visiting the Maritime Provinces. Visitors can drive from Halifax to Peggy’s Cove or take a boat tour or bus to Peggy’s Cove. Once there, they can do what many thousands before them have done and get their camera out and take pictures of the quiet fishing community and the shoreline. There has been a lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove for around one and a half centuries, with the current lighthouse being built in 1914.
