Barrie

Barrie is a city that provides numerous types of outdoor activities for tourists. In the warmer months there is scuba diving, fishing, rowing and cycling. Many of these occur on, under and around Lake Simcoe. Visit during winter and go dog sledding, ice fishing, snowshoeing and skiing. The Barrie Automotive Flea Markets occur twice a year, in spring and fall, with a large amount of cars and parts for sale. Visit the Springwater Provincial Park, Elmvale Zoo and Chappell Farms to see many types of animals. Barrie also has three shopping malls, and the Cookstown Outlet Mall is just south of Barrie, as well as many antique stores.
