Prince Edward Island

One of the most popular islands in the North American continent, Prince Edward Island is glorious and offers something for everyone. Famous as the home to the House of Anne of Green Gables, Prince Edward Island (or PEI as it is known officially) is filled with sights and things for visitors to do. There are numerous wonderful red-sand dunes to visit which offer striking views of the bays surrounding the island. There is a remarkable romance about PEI, one of many reasons that the newly married Prince and Princess of Cambridge came here for a portion of their honeymoon, but whether you come with company or on your own you will be guaranteed to enjoy yourself.

The city of Charlottetown is the cultural and regional capital where you can enjoy the local charm and regular arts performances, including regular performances of Anne of Green Gables, is it also here that the majority of accommodation and restaurants are based. For an interesting and enjoyable experience the island has numerous campsites available and due to the surprisingly mild temperature it is often a romantic way to spend your time here.
