Swift Current

Many people go to Swift Current to watch the Frontier Days Fair & Rodeo. The event started in 1938. The highlights of the current Frontier Days Fair & Rodeo include calf roping, bull riding, bucking horses, a parade and concerts. The Frontier Days Fair & Rodeo takes place in summer at the Kinetic Exhibition Park. Attractions in the area around Swift Current include The Big Muddy Badlands, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park and Lake Diefenbaker. Living Sky Casino and Sky Centre is located in Swift Current. It has a restaurant and a venue for concerts and other performances. The Mennonite Heritage Village in Swift Current has a Watermelon Festival in summer.
