Other than Australia, which is considered a continent, Greenland is the world’s largest island. The country has the world’s lowest population density, but that shouldn’t stop visitors from making the trip to the northern country which is often almost completely covered in ice, aside from the coastal areas. Hiking, driving a dog-sled, mountain climbing and kayaking in this country is a very unique experience because of the conditions, and visitors would be wise to make an effort to see the animal life and the midnight sun, where days or weeks of constant sun light up the summer skies.
