Escondido, California is located just north San Diego in the rocky hills. The downtown area is filled with quaint shops, galleries and cafes to explore. One of the most popular events of the year occurs between the months of April and September. Every Friday night, car clubs converge on this city for their “Cruisin’ Grand” event, which features classic cars, hot rods and tricked-out cars. Visitors will enjoy the entertainment provided by live DJs and many nostalgic contests. The Escondido Children’s Museum has many interactive displays for the little ones to enjoy, while the Mingei international Museum is known for its displays of handcrafts.
