Heavenly Ski Resort

Straddling the California/Nevada border, Heavenly Ski Resort offers skiers that unique opportunity of skiing in two states in one day – perhaps even multiple times in a day. From Reno-Tahoe International Airport it is possible to reach the mountain in less than one hour.

With stunning views of sparkling Lake Tahoe at the base of the mountain, you’ll want to look around as you ski down the magnificent dry powder. Heavenly has 4,800 acres of terrain for maximum fun in the snow.

The 29 lifts get skiers to the best runs quickly. Powder filled glades and great tree skiing keep ardent skiers swishing down the slopes and coming back for more.

There is a wide range of off mountain experiences. From sedate experiences like easing tired muscles in one of Lake Tahoe’s hot springs, to energetically dancing the night away at the dance clubs, or having a night out at the casinos. The shows are international standard. Restaurants and cafes are plentiful and priced to suit all tastes.

There’s plenty to keep families amused for hours and hours too with tubing, ice skating, shows.

Terrain: 20% beginner, 45% intermediate, 35% advanced/expert. There are 95 named trails. The longest run is Total Descent which is 5 miles or 8 kilometers.
