Joliet

Joliet, Illinois is located just forty miles southeast of Chicago. The city is built on and depends on the Des Plaines River and, the downtown area is located in the river valley. There are many landmarks which dot the landscape of this city including the Joliet Area Historical Museum and Route 66 Visitors Center, the Chicagoland NASCAR Speedway, The first Dairy Queen drive-in and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. A must-see for the fan of the age of mobsters is the Rialto Square Theatre, a favorite place for gangster Al Capone.
