Bangor

Bangor is the cultural center of the state of Maine. This city is deeply rooted in history as it is one of the first establish colonies prior to the American Revolution. The landscape is covered with fabulous 19^th century architecture including the Thomas Hill Standpipe, the Hammond Street Congregational and Unitarian Churches and the St. John’s Catholic Church. There are several historic cemeteries that boast famous residents and are well worth a look at including the Mt. Hope Cemetery. While out on a walking tour of the city, take a look at all of the public art which fills the city.
