Hilton Head Island

A semi-tropical wonder where your days will be spent playing golf and eating remarkable seafood; life just doesn’t get much better than this. Hilton Head is a beautiful and fascinating barrier island located not far from Savannah, Georgia but is actually in the state of South Carolina. The main attractions are the great golf courses and the wonderful climate but Hilton Head has a lot more to offer, the beaches are surprisingly world class, the dolphins sighting tours are superb and the kayaking is wonderful as well.

You don’t have to be an adventurer to come here either as there are a number of outstanding restaurants and great cultural sights as well. Heyward House is a striking 19th Century home/museum that is seriously worth a visit as well as the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra who put on regular world-class performances. You will never tire of spending time here, particularly if you have money, the island is a renowned playground for millionaire playboys. If you can afford to or wish to observe this lifestyle then head to Harbour Town where there are also some wonderful restaurants and a beautiful marina. If you fancy some music during the summer then Shelter Cove is famous for its beach parties.
