McAllen

McAllen, Texas is located in South Texas near the Mexico border on the Rio Grande River. There are many celebrations not to miss in McAllen each year. During the Christmas season, the city celebrates its Mexican heritage with the Christmas Posada in Archer Park. Of course, don’t miss the fabulous fireworks display held each year on the fourth of July, celebrating the Independence of the United States of America. Visitors to the city can find plenty to do indoors or outdoors but, if it’s the beach they are seeking, the city is only a thirty minute drive to the white sands of the South Padre Island Preserve.
