Cerro Catedral is the premier ski resort in Argentina. It is near the historic town of Bariloche. The snow, during the season which is early June to early October, is reliable.
On-mountain, there are 40 lifts to access the 2,964 acres of skiable terrain. If guests want to search for the epic fresh powder, they are encouraged to take a guide who will really know the mountain terrain.
Skiing and boarding at Cerro Catedral offers guests stunning vistas and views of pretty Lake Nahuel Huapi. On a clear day you can see the Andes.
The instructors, at the well respected Ski School are multilingual and ski and snowboarding lessons can be taught in French and English.
Staying here is very convenient as there is accommodation at the base of the slopes and a shopping mall. It’s a five minute walk to reach the slopes.
Apres ski is buzzing but there are even more activities in nearby Bariloche which is one of the liveliest towns in Patagonia. Shuttles operate between Cerro Catedral and the town which is home to 70,000 people. Chocoholics beware – Bariloche’s many cafes demonstrate chocolate making!
Terrain: 15% beginner, 60% intermediate, 25% advanced. There are 50 named trails.
