Bolivia

Bolivia is a small landlocked country with high altitudes and a dizzying array of experiences to be had. Acclimatize in La Paz before pulling on your hiking boots and tackling the Cordillera Real from Sorata or perhaps the quieter Cordillera Apolobamba. Walk in the footsteps of dinosaurs at Parque Nacional Torotoro or do the El Choro trek down to Coroico in The Yungas. In between visiting the sacred Inca sites, stopover at the towns of Sucre, Potosi or the villages on the islands of Lake Titicaca. For an entirely different experience, look out over the salt flats of Uyuni. Bolivia is up there with the best, whichever way you look at it.
