Porto Alegre

Located in southern Brazil, Porto Alegre has nearly 4 million residents making it the fourth largest metropolitan area in Brazil. The city is a huge agricultural producer in the region and its position as a port city has been important in helping the city become one of the richest cities in South America.  Decedents from many European nations settled here and their influence can be seen throughout the cities historical and cultural sites. The city works hard and plays harder as Porto Alegra is well known for having a legendary nightlife scene.
