Sao Paulo is one of the largest cities in the world and the economic and financial capital of Brazil. Located on a plateau near the Atlantic Ocean, Sao Paulo’s vast modern skyline is a symbol of its ascent to becoming a major player in the global economy. Home to a vast variety of cultures, the city has a great selection of sites, arts and theatrical offerings to explore. Sao Paulo is traveled heavily each year by business travelers, but tourism is picking up as well though not nearly to the levels of Brazil’s second city, Rio de Janeiro, a city well known for its draw of tourists from all over the world.
