Georgetown

Located in northeast Guyana on the Atlantic coast, Georgetown is home to nearly 250,000 residents. Georgetown is without a question the tourism center of the country and see’s over 450,000 tourists each year. The city has a rich history and many important historical sites and its seaside location as a port city on the Caribbean. Many infrastructure advancements are underway to make the city more appealing to tourism and new hotels are planned to open in the coming years to better serve the city’s tourists. The location is ideal for tourism as the city is situated in northern South America on the Caribbean Sea.
