Maracaibo

Located in northwestern Venezuela on the Caribbean coast, Maracaibo is the second largest city in Venezuela with a population of nearly 2.2 million residents. The city is without a doubt a hidden gem with a strong indigenous culture that is hard to find in much of the continent these days. The gorgeous cityscape and authentic culture are what travelers who do come here find intoxicating. The cheap cost of living and laid back lifestyle make the city an excellent place to explore when in northern Venezuela or cruising through the south Caribbean.
