Amsterdam stopover

I have a 10 hour stopover in Amsterdam to fill in. Travelling on a British passport, do I need a visa to leave the airport and how easy is it to get? Also, what’s to see or do in that time?

    As at September 2011, you do not need a visa to visit Amsterdam (Netherlands) for up to 90 days if you hold a current, valid passport from any of the following countries:

    Croatia
    Cyprus
    Czech Republic

    Germany
    Greece
    Guatemala
    Honduras
    Hungary
    Iceland
    Ireland
    Israel
    Italy
    Japan
    Latvia
    Liechtenstein
    Lithuania
    Luxembourg
    Malaysia
    Malta
    Mauritius
    Mexico
    Monaco
    New Zealand
    Nicaragua
    Norway
    Panama
    Paraguay
    Poland
    Portugal
    Romania
    San Marino
    Seychelles
    Singapore
